Israel Fires 150 Arab Workers

Israel a “democracy” what a joke! Where is “equality, justice, freedom of expression? All of those exist in a REAL Democracy, rather than what Israel is e.g. a theocracy

A decision by Israel’s state-owned railway company to sack 150 Arab workers because they have not served in the army has been denounced as “unlawful” and “racist” this week by Arab legal and workers’ rights groups.

The new policy, which applies to guards at train crossing points, is being implemented even though the country’s Arab citizens — numbering 1.2 million and nearly one-fifth of the total population — have been exempt from serving in the military since Israel’s establishment.

Ahmed Tibi, an Arab member of the Israeli parliament, complained to Israel Railways and the attorney general last week, arguing that the move was meant “to cleanse the railways of Arab employees.”

“It is an especially grave matter as this is a public company whose operations are meant to benefit all citizens,” he said.

The Laborers’ Voice, a workers’ rights group based in Nazareth, said the new condition of employment was designed to reserve rail jobs for Jews, most of whom are conscripted for three years after finishing school.

It added that Israel Railways was following dozens of other major Israeli firms and thousands of small businesses that keep jobs off limits to Arab workers by defining the roles as security related. MORE HERE

Petraeus Says Israel Might Attack Iran

Petraeus Says Israel Might Choose to Attack Iran (Update2)

Oh God someone stop these insane war pigs before they destroy the entire world. Murdering bastards are unhappy with only annihilating a few thousand Gazans, now they want to wipe out Iranians as well. And these Israeli psycho, NeoCon, NutJobs have nuclear weapons given to them by the USA. It is Israel that should have no nuclear weapons they are criminals and psychopaths and have proven this to be so. Well, if they attempt this, Iran has a right to defend themselves from the psychos in Israel, just like Palestine did!

April 1 (Bloomberg) — Israel might choose to attack Iran to prevent it from developing a nuclear bomb, the top U.S. commander in the Middle East said today.

Army General David Petraeus told Congress that “the Israeli government may ultimately see itself so threatened by the prospect of an Iranian nuclear weapon that it would take preemptive military action to derail or delay it.” Ali Akbar Javanfekr, media adviser to Iran’s President Mahmound Ahmadinejad, responded to the general’s comments.

“Iran’s position as a powerful country that is a proponent of logic and peace, the Zionist regime’s chaotic situation, and the state of the world’s economy are realities that do not make this possible,” Javanfekr said in a telephone interview.

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor declined to comment on Petraeus’s remarks.

Netanyahu’s Threat

Israel has signaled impatience with the international diplomatic effort to deter Iran from pursuing a nuclear weapon. Benjamin Netanyahu, in an interview with the Atlantic magazine given shortly before he became prime minister yesterday, said President Barack Obama must act quickly to stop Iran from getting a nuclear bomb or Israel might be compelled to attack Iranian nuclear facilities.

They are really F*cking with Obama here!! Obama should throw them all out of Washington, and that includes AIPAC, ZOA, ADL and all Israel’s flying monkeys that spy and control American Politics. Enough is Enough!! I am really growing to literally despise Israel for what it does. I no longer have ANY sympathy what so ever for anything that may happen to them as they brought it on themselves. But unfortunately the rest of the world has to suffer for the acts of one maniacal rogue state with nukes, no, not Iran, but Israel!! They have the audacity to want to murder Palestinains for whom they elected. Well, look at who Israel elected.

MORE Proof Israel is AGAINST Peace

AS if anyone needed it, yet more proof…..

This just out today. Israel’s racist, bigoted, evil, FM Zionist Avigdor Lieberman rejects US Annapolis deal. Go figure! Where’s a good heart attack when you need one? This fits perfectly with what I wrote about HERE about a great piece written by Uri Avnery where he lays out Israel’s plan to deceive Obama regarding peace.

Israel’s new ultra-nationalist foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman has said it is not bound by a US-sponsored 2007 agreement to reach a peace deal with the Palestinians.

“The Annapolis conference, it has no validity,” said in his first speech since taking office.

He was speaking at a handover ceremony at the foreign ministry, prompting his predecessor Tzipi Livni to interrupt and diplomats to shift uncomfortably.

The Annapolis process was meant to lead to the creation of a Palestinian state.

Palestinian leaders say Mr Lieberman’s stance could undermine stability.

“There is one document that obligates us – and that’s not the Annapolis conference, it has no validity,” Mr Lieberman said.

BOYCOTT~Illegal Settler Avocado Goes to Jail

I just love how they reported this.

Londoners lock up criminal Israeli goods in Tesco on Sunday 29 March!

Pictured below is a convicted Illegal Settler Avocado~LOCK IT UP!

Sunday 29 March 2009, Londoners converged towards Tesco supermarkets in West London in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.

Avocadoes, pomellos, cherry tomatoes, herbs and dates grown in Israel and on illegal settlements in the occupied Palestinian West Bank were trapped in baskets and trolleys in order to disrupt the sale of such produce and symbolise the need for clear international action against illegal Israeli settlements and Israeli war crimes in the region. Leaflets were placed on the empty shelves explaining the role of Israeli goods in funding Israeli settler colonialism and state violence.

Tesco, and most supermarkets in Britain, stock and sell Israeli goods including produce from illegal Israeli settlements implanted in the occupied Palestinian West Bank. Some of this settlement product is misleadingly labelled ‘West Bank’ leading many customers to believe they are buying Palestinian produce, while some is labelled ‘made in Israel’ even though the settlements are clearly colonial entities outside of Israel’s internationally recognized borders.

The event was timed to mark Yom el Ard, the yearly celebration of the Palestinian civil rights movement, as well as the global day for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (,,

In recent months, the global pressure for Israel to end its violence against Palestinians has been increasingly felt inside Israel.(

I say lock em all up and throw away the key! Keep hitting Israel in the wallet where it will hurt! Boycott anything with a bar code that begins with 729 or anything grown in the West Bank on illegal land.

Egypt Releases Pro-Palestinian Blogger

The Egyptian authorities have released 22-year-old Egyptian blogger Diaa Eddin Gad after nearly seven weeks in detention, according to an Egyptian human rights group. Gad was arrested on February 6 for criticizing Egypt’s policies during Israel’s recent war on Gaza.

BEIRUT, March 30, 2009 (MENASSAT) – “Diaa (Eddin Gad) was released on Friday (March 27) at dawn… He was ill-treated in the period when we did not know where he was being held,” Gamal Eid, director of the Cairo-based NGO Arabic Network for Human Rights Information told Reuters regarding Egyptian blogger Gad’s imprisonment.

According to Eid, Gad was interrogated about his criticism of Mubarak and support of Gaza on his blog. Eid also said that the blogger was subject to torture while in custody, althought he Egyptian government has said nothing on the matter.

Gad was detained by police in early February near his home in the Nile Delta province of Gharbiya and then transferred to an unknown location.

On his blog “An Angry Voice” (, Gad had featured “pro-Palestinian” content and news on the situation in the Strip during the recent three-week long Israeli offensive on Gaza.

Gad had posted numerous personal critiques of President Mubarak and the Egyptian authorities for their handling of the Gaza crisis, referring to Mubarak as “Ehud Mubarak”–an obvious reference to Israeli Defense Minister and former Prime Minister Ehud Barack.

Egypt faced strong criticism from the Arab world during the Gaza war for keeping its border with the Strip closed throughout the Israeli offensive.

Thousands of Egyptians joined in several large demonstrations that were held in Cairo in support of Gaza during the war.

Gad is not the only one: Mohammad Adel

Gad is not the only pro-Palestinian activist that was arrested during the time of the Gaza crisis. In February, Egyptian police detained German-Egyptian student and blogger Philip Rizk in a march in support of Gaza. He was held in custody for five days.

Last year, the Egyptian authorities arrested 20-year old student blogger Mohammed Adel on a Cairo street. No formal charges have been brought against Adel, but it is believed that the cyber-activist is being held because of recent photos he took in Gaza where he is seen posing with Hamas leaders.

Sources in Cairo say Adel could face charges of “terrorism and involvement in an armed organization” because of the images.

In an act of solidarity with Adel, a group of Egyptian bloggers and activists launched in February this year the campaign “ Operation General Meit”, “Meit” being Adel’s blog title (and nickname) that translates to “Already Dead”, where they are posing with fake AK-47s and toy guns in pictures on the Internet.

Blogger and “Operation General Meit” campaigner Mina Zekry previously told MENASSAT that the aim of the campaign was to bring attention to how “ridiculous” the allegations against Adel are.

“If Meit (Mohammed Adel) is a terrorist, then I’m also a terrorist,” Zekry states in a picture depicting the blogger holding a fake gun.

Peace Cyclists petition to end EU-Israeli trade ties

Cycling for peace, not the most common way to protest injustice, is the newest campaign by European peace activists who hopped on their bikes Saturday and set out across Europe to petition their governments to bring an end to the ‘cycle of violence’ perpetuated by Israeli human rights violations.

“Many people have talked about standing up against injustice, but how many people have got on their bikes for it?” is the motto for Peace Cycle, which grouped together more than 30 people to ride the 124 miles (199 kilometers) from The Hague to Brussels to deliver a petition calling for the EU to suspend trade ties with Israel.

US Jews Support Obama & Unity Government With Hamas

US Jews back Obama’s Mideast path
Hilary Leila Krieger

WASHINGTON, DC – A new J Street poll finds that large majorities of American Jews support US President Barack Obama’s active engagement in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, even if that means exerting pressure and publicly disagreeing with Israel.

American Jews would also like the United States to deal with a Palestinian unity government that includes Hamas in pursuit of a peace agreement, a position at odds with current US and Israeli policy shunning Hamas.

The poll, commissioned by the dovish pro-Israel lobby and released Monday, also reports that American Jews are evenly split between those who support a US military attack on Iran if it is on the verge of acquiring nuclear weapons and those who oppose a military attack in those circumstances. The finding mirrors a similar result in an American Jewish Committee poll last year.

Relating to the recent elections in Israel, the survey also asked about Avigdor Lieberman, who is likely to become Israel’s next foreign minister.

With 62 percent name recognition, the poll found that Lieberman has only a 27 percent favourability rating in comparison to 74 percent for Obama, 58 percent for incoming Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and 53 percent for current Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni.

They also found that 69 percent disagreed with Lieberman’s views in which he “has previously called for the execution of Arab members of Israel’s parliament who met with Hamas and whose main campaign message called for Arab citizens of Israel to sign a loyalty oath to the Jewish state in order to prevent their citizenship from being revoked”.

Additionally, 32 percent said him becoming a senior minister in the government “weakens my personal connection to Israel because Lieberman’s positions go against my core values” while 58 percent said it would not affect their feelings towards Israel and 10 percent said it would strengthen them.
